Is DC Comics Ending Lois and Clark's Marriage?

Looks like this relaunch is doing more than changing costumes. There's a huge possibility that Supes and Lois' marriage will be null and void.

DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan Didio hints to PopcornBiz that, on the heels of the recently announcement of a line-wide revamp that will involve both wholesale changes and subtle tweaks to its entire roster of characters, the long-standing marriage between the Man of Steel and Metropolis’ most intrepid reporter just might be wiped away in the new continuity.

“Let’s just say it's being reexamined,” says Didio, who oversees the 77-year-old comic book company, which relaunches all of its titles with 52 new #1 issues in September, “because it's something that I think is something that is so valuable to the character's story that you really want to explore all facets of it. Not just as it exists currently.”

I guess this will give Clark that chance for Diana (rumor is WW And Superman will be hooking up)

Pics of the Christopher Reeve 'Superman' Statue

Last night, I went to the L.A. Hero Complex Film Festival to see Superman I and II (The Donner Cut which I do not recommend) with the guests of the night: director Richard Donner, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee.

I have to say seeing 'Superman The Movie' on the big screen was emotional for me. Seeing Christopher reminded me of so many things from my childhood and my attraction to him as a budding gay kid.

But the another event was the revealing of the life-like statue of Christopher. OMG y'all, this statue is pure art. It's so real and scary to look at (and y'all know I love scary things). But in all, it was beautiful. I kind of captured the spirit of Christopher as Superman. Very powerful to see up close and personal.

This is fascinating to watch. See the actresses audition for the role of a lifetime... Lois Lane. I noticed Stockard Channing and Leslie Ann Warren

FIRST LOOK: A Realistic Statue of Christopher Reeve as Superman

This weekend, I will have pleasure of attending L.A. Times Hero Complex Film Festival. And while I'm there, I will get to see this life-like statue of Christopher Reeve as Superman.

The sculptor, Mike Hill had this to say about his work:

“I made this piece to remind me of my youth,” the 42-year-old sculptor said. “As adults we forget the magic moments that forged our childhood dreams. For me ‘Superman’ still ignites that little boy who couldn’t afford popcorn watching an uplifting and incredibly exciting superhero save the planet. I believed a man could fly … and I still do.”

The statue is a bit startling to behold and its creation was a complicated one. “This figure was sculpted in clay from various stills of Mr. Reeve,” Hill said. “The sculpture was then reproduced in silicone rubber and fiberglass. The skin is painted in layers to reflect human skin tones. The acrylic eyes are custom made to match Reeves’ own. Each hair is punched [into place] one at a time. The costume is an exact replica of the original.”

I will take pics of this statue this Saturday. So excited!
